SCOURING PREVENTING WORK FOR CAISSON FOUNDATION

PURPOSE:To prevent the scouring of caisson foundation during the settling of caisson by a method in which plural cloth formworks having water permeability are set on the bottom under water, a filler, e.g., cement mortar, etc., is charged into the formworks and hardened, and the caisson is settled on the cloth formworks. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the settlement of a caisson 4, a cloth formwork 1 is set on the bottom 3 under water by matching it with the shape of the cutting edge 4a of the caisson. A hose is connected to a charging port 2, and a filler, e.g., cement mortar, etc., is packed into the formwork 1 through the hose, thereby preventing the effects of water stream, tidal current, etc., in the surrounding on the formwork 1. When a caisson 4 is settled on the formwork 1, the surface of the bottom 3 under water can be protected by the formwork 1 filled with the filler, although the condition of water stream in the surrounding is changed by the caisson 4. The occurrence of scouring can thus be prevented by the formwork 1 filled with the filler prior to the settlement of the caisson, and the caisson foundation can be formed.
