Lifting wreck from sea, bed using floating crane - involves drilling bores through wreck using drilling tubes, lowering swivel anchors on lift cables through tubes and lifting via cables
The method is intended for raising a heavy object, particularly a wreck (1), from the sea, canal or river bed (3). It comprises drilling an appropriate number of bores through the wreck or parts of it using drilling tubes. - After the holes have been drilled, swivel anchors (5; 6,9) connected to lift cables are lowered through these tubes such that the double-armed swivel members (6) lodge below the wreck or in a suitable part of the wreck. The wreck is then raised by lift gear on a floating crane. During lowering, the swivel members may be held in near vertical position (against springs) by thin cables (10).
