Purificn. process for liq. hydrocarbon feedstocks, contg. in particular C3H6 and 1-70 ppm COS, to remove the COS by passing through an absorbent material contg. Ni metal and oxide in a support, the metal constituting 35-70 wt.% of the toal Ni, is improved by conditioning the absorbent material by passing through it a current of inert gas, contg. a small proportion of C3H6.
