The vessel consists of a pushing tog (1) and a separate bow (2). The latter is held in a position in which floating vessels can be transported and at a distance from the ship such that these fit between them and can be anchored to both. There can be a clamp on the bow, for holding the inclined front face of the floating vessel against a mating inclined surface. The ship can have protruding thrust bosses, engaging in recesses in the vessel stern.
