A heat exchanger construction, which has a number of passages which are separate from one another by partition walls, every other passage of which is designed for passage of a flow of fresh air which is to be heated or cooled and which is conducted to the interspace which is to be ventilated, and every other one of which is designed for the passage of heat-emitting or heat- absorbing outgoing air which is conducted from the interspace which is to be ventilated. The walls a' of the heat exchanger construction are formed by bending the plate blank 4, which forms the heat exchanger construction, back and forth with bends 33, 39, 46 which are transverse in relation to the blank. In the gables of each wall, bends 30 are formed during the bending of the blank 4, which extend from the main plane of the blank 4 in different directions. The direction of the bends 30 is selected in such a manner that the bends which join the same edge of the blank 4 are positioned in pairs 34, 35; 36, 37 against one another in each passage, the bend 30 thus being provided with members 40 arranged in the blank 4 for joining the bends 30 together in pairs.
