For hot-pressing sheets of material impregnated with thermosetting resin together with the metal foil(s), with which they are to be clad, in a pressing device, an impregnating agent which contains a catalyst- accelerated resin system is used for impregnating the sheets of material which are then pressed together with the metal foil(s) with which they are to be clad.
