Collection unit for milled peat

The collection unit is for picking up pneumatically milled peat, and comprises a collection carriage (2) moving on the ground surface and provided with suction conduits (5). A cyclone (11) separates peat from the aspirated air, passing it to a collection container (6). Suction is produced by a blower (3). The container has two parts, one (9) of which contains the initially fed-in peat and suction air, whilst the other (10) collects the finely distributed peat particles separated by the cyclone from the suction air. The wall separating the parts of the container can be a hinged hatch (8) which opens under force of gravity when the container is full and requires to be emptied. Only a part of the collected peat passes through the cyclone.
