This cross slide is engaged with a further auxiliary guide (18) which is inclined in relation to the main guide. The auxiliary guide in this case supports a positioning guide (21) which is adjustable and lockable at selected angles relatively to the linear movement of the cross slide. Between the auxiliary slide and the positioning guide extends a transmission arm (25) which on angle adjustment of the positioning guide relatively to the cross slide causes a relative longitudinal displacement of the auxiliary slide towards the main slide (24).
