Machine tool work transfer arrangement - uses sliding and swinging carriers, forming polygonal closed loop transfer path

The work transfer system for a machine tool arrangement, is used for three machine tools arranged in a triangle, each with a sliding work table. These tables can also swing about a vertical pivot axis. They have horizontal guides for the workpiece, and the guide path forms a closed loop. Each machine has a mechanism to lift the workpiece from one table to the next. The carriers which support the workpiece are moved by a cable and pulley system operated by telescopic cylinders.
