Grounding fault locating appts. for electric power equipment

The appts. has several opto magnetic sensors installed in relation to the electric power equipment in a scattered or distributed manner. The sensors detect a level difference or phase difference in magnetism due to conductor current flowing in the equipment. Two information signals detected by two of the sensors are taken out by way of an optical fibre cable assigned to a information transmission device. A decision as to whether or not a grounding fault has occurred between the two opto magnetic sensors is made on the basis of the magnetic level difference, phase difference or a combination of the two. The sinusoidal wave signal information related to conductor current sent from two of the sensors is re-shaped into rectangular waves so as to wake data processing and judgement.
