The resilient surfaces, for covering floors of indoor sports halls, etc. are made by (a) applying a layer of elastic agglomerate to the floor to be treated; (b) buffing the floor and collecting the resulting powdery product; (c) using the latter to prepare a mastic, which is used to fill the surface pores in the elastic covering, by use of a levelling tool; and (d) final buffing to produce the finished surface.
