An arrangement for the reduction of the erosive influence fo rough waters on the marginal regions between water and land and/or for the reclamation of land, consisting of piles (5) driven into the ground (3, 4) in the marginal region and sinkers (8, 28, 38) threaded on the piles and provided with guide openings (13) through which the piles pass with room for play, characterized in that each sinker (8, 28, 38) has at least two guide openings (13) by which it is mounted on two piles (5) and tooth-like projections (11) that bound openings (12) extending generally at right angles to the plane defined by the two guide openings (13) are arranged on the sinkers (8, 28, 38).
