Method for the continuous foaming of slag melts and for the continuous granulation of slag and metal melts, in which the melt in a pouring-in shaft (2) reacts with water which is passed upwards from the bottom end of the pouring-in shaft in a powerful stream through one or more water supply pipes (3), the jet of melts which reacts with the water being intercepted by the water flowing towards it in the opposite direction and being discharged onto a channel (4) on which the reaction is completed.
