The joining means comprises two connectors (1) which are attached together, are directed towards one another with their rear ends and exhibit securing wings (3) which are resiliently spread, but can be pressed together in the direction of the arrows (4) and each form a securing stop (5). Said securing wings (3) have, at their end forming the securing stop (5), a continuation (9) which is located on that side of the securing stop (5) lying in the direction of the connector axis (2) and which extends rearwards, approximately in the direction of the connector axis (2), so far beyond the securing stop (5) that, when the connector (1) is secured in the board (7), on the edge wall (8) thereof, by the stops (5), it still projects outwards from the board (7) and forms a hand grip for pressing together the securing wings (3) by hand, with the result that the connector (1) can be released from its securing position and can be drawn out of the board (7).
