The invention relates to a drying chamber 11 which is supplied with air at two different temperatures by means of an intermediate chamber 13 divided into two parts which each receive air via one of two channels formed in a sheath 7 supplied by a blower (fan) 6. Some nozzles from two groups of different nozzles introduce relatively hot air and the others introduce cooler air into the drying chamber 11 so as rapidly to dry the particles of liquid produced by atomisers 12.
