FORMATION OF PAPER PATTERN FOR DRESS BASED ON DESIGN PATTERN

PURPOSE:To form a paper pattern for dress suited to a body form by inputting a design pattern and magnifying and contracting the design pattern for correction by using a prototype obtained from body form data. CONSTITUTION:The body form data on each person is inputted via a keyboard 4 for formation of the prototype and plural base points are set on the prototype via a pointing device 6 on a CRT display 3. Then a design pattern is inputted via an image input means 5 like an image scanner, etc. The base points are also set on the design pattern at positions corresponding to those base points set on the prototype. Then a file is formed for both the prototype and the design pattern and the data on both graphic forms are stored in an external memory 2. Furthermore, the constitution ratio between both graphic forms of the prototype and the design pattern is calculated from the body form data as well as the base points set on said both patterns and the distances among those base points. The numeric values are different among those base points and mean the magnification/contraction ratios among base points. Then the design pattern is magnified or contracted in response to the prototype for formation of a new design pattern.
