BAR-CODE LABEL OF PILED-UP CARRYING VESSEL AND OPTICAL READER FOR IT

PURPOSE:To read bar-code labels sticked on the same positions of respective carrying vessels by one optical reader, by inclining the arranging direction of code bars, which are marked on the bar-code label, in the front and behind carrying direction. CONSTITUTION:Arrangements of code bars 8 and 9 marked on bar-code labels 6 and 7 are inclined in the front and behind carrying direction as shown by an arrow 16. By the carrying path, an optical reader 19 is arranged which has a beam scanning line 17 inclined in the same direction as the code bar arranging direction and has the beam scanning amplitude including labels 6 and 7. In this constitution, code bars 8 of a vessel 1 are scanned by the scanning line 17 of the reader 19 in accordance with movement of carrying vessels 1 and 2 in the carrying direction 5, and after that, code bars 9 of the vessel 2 are scanned by the scanning line 17 of the same reader 19.
