ANTIGENIC FRACTION OBTAINED BY RELEASING IN A CULTURE MEDIUM CHOLERAIC VIBRIONS, AND VACCINE

Choleraic vibrions are cultivated in conditions which favour the biosynthesis of surface antigenes and the release in a culture medium of a particulate antigenic complex of lipopolysaccharide of smooth character and of proteins of external membrane, and the supernatant, after elimination of bacterial bodies, is subjected to a separation wherein elements having a molecular weight higher than a value of at least 100,000 approximately are recovered. Application to an oral choleraic vaccine.
