The planetary gear comprises a stationary drum (6) provided on its interior with a ring gear (21) around which a planet gear (27) revolves in mesh engagement with a central driving pinion (35). The planet gear (27) is mounted to a cover (13) adapted for covering the front of a drum (12), rotatably supported on the stationary drum (6). Lubricating oil is conveyed into the stationary drum (6) and to the area between the stationary and rotating drums (6,12) through passages (10).
