For the production of glass- or carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic parts, plastic powder and short glass- or carbon-fibres are sprayed via an application gun onto a heated metal mould. In the application gun, the plastic powder and the fibres are electrostatically charged in such a manner that they are attracted by the earthed metal mould. The metal mould is provided with a layer having a release effect (for example Teflon) so that the plastic part immediately curing on the mould can be easily removed.
