The driving device is intended for a machine part (1) guided in an adjustable, preferably linearly adjustable, manner, especially a valve element. Arranged on a drive shaft (2) running obliquely to the direction of adjustment of the machine part (1) is a disc cam (3) for actuating the machine part (1), the disk cam having two cam surfaces (4, 5) along which in each case one roller (6, 7) runs in an essentially alternate manner. The two rollers (6, 7) are rotatably mounted on a common supporting part (8) connected to the machine part (1), one cam surface (4) adjusting the machine part (1) in the opposite direction to the other. Cam surface (3) has a control rib (9) in the form of a closed ring projecting from its front face, the inner and outer surfaces of the said rib forming the two cam surfaces (4, 5). The two rollers (6, 7) are arranged with a clearance on essentially parallel bearing journals and between them form a slot-like receiver for the control rib. IMAGE
