Drilling tool with turn-over bits - has slotted shank for bit reception with bit clamped by screw in recessed and notched slot side wall

The tool comprises a shank (1) provided with a slot at its forward end to receive part of the bit, with one side wall of the slot externally recessed to accommodate the head of a clamp screw (4) across the slot. The bit is located by a stop pin (7) across the slot, whilst the recessed side wall is provided with a notch for the necessary resilience of that wall. A swarf discharge groove (10) is also provided. USE/ADVANTAGE - For boring small dia. holes in tubes rings, bushes etc., e.g. in ball bearing mfr., with increased productivity.
