Method and device for improving checking and suppression of fraud on motorways and other toll roads

Device for permitting effective checking and suppressing fraud on motorways and other roads having the same pay system. The invention relates to a device which allows effective checking and, consequently, suppresses fraud. It comprises ticket dispensers. These tickets differ according to vehicle type: light vehicle or heavy goods vehicle; and according to direction: from A to B or from B to A. These dispensers have two control buttons for dispensing tickets operated by the user, one for heavy vehicles and one for light vehicles, in the case where the dispenser is on a road which gives access only to a single direction: from A to B or from B to A. These dispensers have four dispensing control buttons in the case where they are placed on a road which gives access to two directions: from A to B and from B to A, two for light vehicles and two for heavy vehicles. In order to prevent fraud the dispensers give the user a ticket only when the magnetic detection device, which is adapted for the circumstances, permits it. The dispenser is open for dispensing a ticket when the vehicle is present on the first electromagnetic detection loop placed level with the dispenser. This same dispenser is closed when the vehicle departs by virtue of a second magnetic detection loop. A third detection loop opens the dispenser when the vehicle leaves its detection field. The detection loops 2e and 3e are linked to a commercially available bidirectional detector, which closes the dispenser and actuates an alarm if a vehicle crosses the third loop before the second. This second detection loop, equipped with additional logic, closes the dispenser throughout the time when the vehicle is passing. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to allow better checking on motorways and other roads and to suppress fraud.
