APPLICATION PROCESSOR MICROPROCESSOR (APM) AND NETWORK HAVING THE APM

PURPOSE: To enable a plurality of remote terminal devices on a subscriber side to directly communicate with a central data base by providing an application processor microprocessor, etc., consisting of serial communication modules, etc. CONSTITUTION: In a craft access system(CAS) 10 consisting of application processor microprocessors(APM) 111 to 11k , the respective APMs are interconnected by general interface buses(GPIB) 12A and 12B. Further, each APM comprises a processor core module 20, a memory module 22, an interprocessor communication module 24, a serial communication module 26, and a direct memory access module 28. Then the module 26 is connected to an application interface module(AIM)/craft access(CA) 19 and data ports. Consequently, plural CA terminals are able to directly communicate with the central data base through a switch network interface 13, etc.
