COMMODITY IDENTIFYING METHOD AND COMMODITY IDENTIFICATION CODE READER

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the reading accuracy of identification codes by forming these codes in a circular band and identifying the codes along plural center lines turned by a prescribed angle based on the center axis of the identification codes. CONSTITUTION:A commodity 2 containing an identification code 1 is carried toward an arrow via a transport line 3 and a commodity identification code reader 4 reads the code 1 when the commodity 2 passes under the reader 4. The code 1 is first identified along a center line crossing the center of the code 1 formed into plural concentrical rings. Then the center line is turned by a prescribed angle based on the center axis of the code 1 and the code 1 is identified along plural center lines. Thus other circular band parts can be read even though the soil is attached to a part of the code 1. Therefore the unreadable states are decreased and the code 1 can be accurately read.
