METHOD FOR CONVERTING PRECIPITATE FORMED BY NEUTRALIZING WASTE WATER FROM PIT OF MINE INTO SOIL

PURPOSE:To convert a slurried precipitate formed by neutralizing waste water from a pit of a mine into soil fit for various kinds of work by mixing the precipitate with a specified percentage of a cement-based caking agent. CONSTITUTION:A slurried precipitate formed by neutralizing waste water from a pit of a mine is mixed with 2-40wt.% cement-based caking agent by means of a soil mixer or the like. When the mixture is allowed to stand for a prescribed time, the precipitate is converted into ordinary soil fit for open-air storage. By such simple operation, the precipitate is converted into soil fit for various kinds of work such as work with a bulldozer or work for raising the ground level, the construction of a dam is made unnecessary and control is facilitated.
