PURPOSE:To monitor the operating state of a TV camera in spite of whether or not plural operating devices are set at operating states by forming a prescribed monitoring devices by connecting the plural operating devices and controllers by a control signal transmission path of bus shape. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is applied, the operating devices 21 and 22 monitor the state of a control signal line 24 by a comparator 35 via a reception part 34, and transmit a control signal from a transmission part 33 only when no reception data exists. On the other hand, when data exists on the control signal line 24, a reception state is set by setting a state where no output is issued from the transmission part 33 by a transmission control part 36. Meanwhile, while the control signal is transmitted from the transmission part 33, data to be transmitted is always compared with received data at a comparison part 35, thereby, coincidence between transmission data and the reception data is confirmed. And when discrepancy is detected, transmission is terminated by the control part 36. Also, a conversion part 32 analyzes the data received at the reception part 34, and displays the operating state based on an analyzed result.
