PURPOSE:To realize an excellent high-frequency performance and a mass production by attaching an intermediate layer of a heavy metal on the surface in the reducing process, and, after an activation process, forming an electrode layer which consists of a specific thickness of Cu plating layer on the intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:As the dielectric resonator ceramics for microwave, either a dielectric mainly of TiO2 of the TiO2-BaO system, TiO2-CaO system, or TiO2-SrO2 system may be used. In order to form the intermediate layer, the surface of a ceramics foundation is coarse-surface-processed by a mixing acid solution, and then a sensitization process is applied in a solution mainly of stannous chloride. After that, the intermediate layer of a heavy metal such as Ag or Pd is attached to the foundation in a reducing process to activate the layer. After the activation process, it is soaked in a nonelectrolysis Cu plating bath which consists a mixture solution mainly of copper sulfate, nickel chloride, Formalin, Pochelle salt, and caustic soda. An electrode layer which consists of 10mum to 30mum of Cu plating layer is formed on the intermediate layer. The electrode layer can be attached rigidly through the intermediate layer.
