DEVICE FOR SUPPLYING ROD MATERIAL TO GUIDE RAIL IN AUTOMATIC ROD MATERIAL SUPPLY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply both thin and thick rod materials by providing an inclined pitch conveyer and a tiltable rack rotatable between an operating position above the pitch conveyer and an inoperative position remote from the conveyer, end by supplying rod materials to a guide rail with the use of a rod material push-up section. CONSTITUTION:When thin rod materials are fed, a tiltable rack 32 is set at an inoperative position above a pitch conveyer 16 remote from the conveyer while a thin rod material guide rail 24 is laid in a guide rail 22 so as to convey the thin rod materials. Further, when thick rod material are conveyed, the thin rod material guide rail 24 is removed while the tiltable rack 32 is rotated about a hinge 34 toward the pitch conveyer 16 which therefore conveys the thick rod materials. Further, a push-up conveyer 28 is elevated along a shaft 30 so that the rod materials are lifted up by the forward end part 28a of the conveyer 28 onto an inclined supply bed 26 so as to be fed to the guide rail 24 or 22. Thus it is possible to handle both thin and thick materials.
