The invention concerns a method of thawing out frozen soil in a field provided with a sub-surface piping system 2,3 for drying out the field and for guiding air through the field; also equipment for leading the heated air to the piping system 2,3. The object of the invention is to produce a new method of thawing frozen soil in a field, thereby bringing it more rapidly back into use.
