A warming appliance for prepared food consists of double walled bottom and top dishes, which have a rim closure. The inside of each dish wall consists of several e.g. corrugated patterned partitions, fixed at the top and bottom to form pressure chambers. The appliance has a bottom dish (1) and a top dish (lid) (2). The inner wall (3) is connected with the outer wall (4) by a circumferential overlapping flange (5). Partitions (6) in each dish are set, e.g. in a pattern of which the top (8) is fixed to the inside of the dish. The bottom dish's profiled inner wall (3) forms contact rims (11,12,13) for a positioning plate (B).
