ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE:A reversed Rankine cycle system, wherein a vortextube is disposed between the compressor and the condenser ina reversed Rankine cycle, the superheated vapors of coolantat a high pressure discharged from the compressor are takenout while separating them by the vortex tube into higher andlower temperature components through energy separationto render most of the portion thereof into superheatedvapors of coolant at a higher temperature and the remainingportions into vapors of coolant at a lower temperaturerespectively, and the superheated vapors of coolantseparated to the higher temperature side are introduced intothe circuit on the higher temperature side of the condenserand condensated therein, while the vapors of coolantseparated to the lower temperature side are recycled to thesystem, of the cycle, preferably, to the circuit on thelower temperature side of the condenser. Heat may besupplied from the atmospheric air or from the compressor tothe vapors of coolant from the lower temperature side of thevortex tube or, in the case where the temperature of thecoolant on the lower tmeperature side is high, excess heatmay be recovered therefrom by a heat exchanger for heatabsorption.
