STRING-TYPE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS (GUITAR-TYPE AND OTHERS)

Instrument without a narrow portion at the rosette (1) in order to increase the volume of sound. It is provided with an acoustic resonator (2) located under the bridge (3) and close to the sensing strip (4). This method has a double advantage, since, in addition to the amplification of the sound, it fulfils the role of a filter, thereby avoiding the unwanted noises present in traditional designs, and results in exceptional sustained musicality. The transverse strips (4) and the bridge (3) have supports, i.e. over the whole length they are provided with alternating recesses, the purpose of which is to reduce the bonded surface area, in order to control cell blockage. The longitudinal strips are hollow, and therefore light-weight and because of their special design they act efficiently as a miniature resonant duct. All string-type musical instruments including those with keyboards can be provided with the systems described.
