A preferred form of the apparatus is substantially rectangular, comprising a top surface (13), walls (15) trapezoidal lateral support providing stability, a bottom surface (11) and end plates (16, 17 ) at each end. The upper surface (13) forms a plane template containing six apertures or wells (12) tapered cylindrical arranged linearly and extending through the template. Disposed under the template is a membrane (14) microporous attached to the lower surface of the template. One of the end plates (17) has an outlet (19) which serves as a flowing fluid from the closed region. The bottom surface (11) forms a ramp (18) inclined exit upwardly from the outlet port (19) to the other plate (16) end. The apparatus is in the form of a unitary element which can be discarded after use. While using a syringe draws fluid under the effect of a slight vacuum through the orifice (19) output.
