The method consists in joining a thread end (15) attached to the cloth (8) to a separate thread (16); restarting the weaving machine; separating the second thread end (18), preferably by combing out the warp sheet using a rotating comb-shaped mechanism (17); and joining the thread end (18), when found, to the thread (16) attached to the first thread end.
