A tool-changing device for transferring a tool from a tool-changing table which accommodates the latter to a manufacturing machine and/or vice versa has a carriage which is displaceably guided in the conveying direction on the tool-changing table below the bearing plane of the latter and a motor-driven wrapping drive which has two deflection rollers which are rotatably mounted on the carriage at a distance from one another in the direction of movement of the carriage and an endless conveying means which is guided via the said deflection rollers and has a driver pin for positive engagement in a driver recess in a tool to be conveyed. A further driver pin of the endless conveying means extends from the latter on the side facing away from the aforementioned driver pin, is arranged in a position which is offset with relation to the former driver pin around half the circumferential path of the endless conveying means and is guided into a slide which can move transversely with respect to the carriage guide, so that the carriage undergoes a reciprocating movement during circulation of the endless conveying means.
