A vertically mobile clothes horse is suspended from four cords trained over a common drum, and has a fifth cord wound around the drum in the opposite direction to raise and lower the assembly. The shaft of the drum is pref. welded vertically to a plate fixed to a ceiling by pins. The drum pref. has a bearing secured by a cap screwed to the shaft. The outer wall of the drum is pref. pierced by five apertures for the cords, which are retained by knots inside it. ADVANTAGE - Each cord only needs one pulley.
