Water-soluble dyes which contain one or two fiber-reactive groups of the formula ##STR1## in which each R is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, it being possible for both R to have a meaning which is identical to or different from one another, Y is the vinyl group or a group of the general formula --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 -- X in which X represents a substituent which can be eliminated as an anion, and m represents the number 2 or 3. These novel dyes can be used to dye hydroxy and/or carboxamide group-containing materials in particular fiber- materials, such as, in particular, cellulose fiber materials, in fast shades.
