FILM FOR FORMING ANTIREFLECTION LAYER AND PRODUCTION OF ANTIREFLECTION PLATE BY USING THE FILM

PURPOSE:To produce the antireflection plate without being restrained by the shape of a transparent substrate by forming a thin low-refractive index film as a single layer or providing the thin films for forming the antireflection layer made into multiple layers by successively laminating the thin low-refractive index films and thin high- refractive index films having the refractive index higher than the refractive index of said thin films on the surface of a plastic film. CONSTITUTION:The thin low-refractive index film 2 is formed as the single layer on the surface of the plastic film 1 or the thin film for forming the antireflection layer made into the multiple layers by successively laminating the thin low-refractive index films 2 and the thin high-refractive index of the thin films 2 is provided thereon. The film for forming such layer is further adhered to the transparent substrate 5 in such a manner that the single layer or multilayered thin films 2, 3 on the film surface are turned over. The plastic film 1 is then stripped to form the desired antireflection layer on the substrate 5. The antireflection layers 2, 3 having excellent uniformity and a desired thickness are efficiently formed in this way on the surface of the substrate 5, i.e., an ordinary flat plate or the substrate 5 having a cured surface.
