摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the title mixture having a high rate of curing and excellent adhesion to core and being useful as a cladding material for fibers for optical transmission, by reacting 1H,1H,6H,6H-octafluorohexane-1,6-diol with an organic polyisocyanate and an OH-containing (meth)acrylate. CONSTITUTION:A urethane (meth)acrylate mixture is obtained, for example, by reacting 1mol of 1H,1H,6H,6H-octafluorohexane-1,6-diol with, desirably, 1.2-2mol of an organic polyisocyanate (e.g., trimethylhexamethylene diisocyanate) and reacting the obtained product with an OH-containing (meth) acrylate (e.g., 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate) in an amount to give 0.95-1.5 chemical equivalent of the OH groups per chemical equivalent of the isocyanate groups of the product.
