EARTHQUAKE-PROOF REINFORCING STRUCTURE OF EXISTING RC FRAME

PURPOSE:To make construction work easier by a method in which Y-shaped steels are set with rigid-structure in the square opening of existing RC structure, and each end portion is connected to the inside of the opening by a stress transmitter member. CONSTITUTION:An oblique member 7 is fixed to the end of a horizontal member 8 provided to the connection between a vertical member 6 and an oblique member 7, and the member 6 is fixed to the center of the member 8 to make up a Y-shaped steel 5. The member 6 of the steel 5 is fixed to an H-steel 9 fixed to the upper beam 2 of the square opening 4, and the end of the member 7 is fixed with bolts to gusset plates 11 as stress transmitters fixed to the corners of the opening 4. The reinforcing efficiency can thus be enhanced.
