PRODUCTION OF DYED HIGH-STRENGTH ACRYLIC YARN

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn having improved dyeability, by spinning a spinning stock solution of a specific acrylonitrile polymer by wet spinning method, drawing, washing yarn, immersing the yarn in a dyeing bath containing cationic dye, and drawing it further. CONSTITUTION:A spinning stock solution of an acrylonitrile polymer solution consisting of (A) about =85mol% acrylonitrile and (B) about =25mol% comonomer copolymerizable with the component A, having =2.5 intrinsic viscosity, is extruded through a spinneret hole to air or an inert atmosphere once. Then, the spun yarn is introduced into a coagulating bath to form fibrous yarn, drawn, washed, etc. Then, the yarn is immersed in a dyeing bath containing cationic dye, the dye is adsorbed on the yarn, the yarn is successively dried, densified, and further drawn secondarily, to give the aimed yarn.
