PURPOSE:To obtain a paper feeding device having a simple structure, wherein a spring plate is provided between supporting members of feed rollers, which guide paper by compressing the paper to a platen and a substrate, and an actuating shaft, which acts on the spring plate so as to separate the feed rollers from the platen against the resilient force of the spring plate, is provided. CONSTITUTION:A spring plate 20, which energizes feed rollers 3 and 4 in the direction of a platen 1, is provided between supporting members (a guide plate 6, a cradle 7, and the like) for the feed rollers 3 and 4, which compress the paper to the platen 1 and guide the paper around the platen and a substrate (chassis 19). An actuating shaft 21, which acts on the spring plate 20, is provided so as to separate the feed rollers 3 and 4 from the platen 1 against the resilient force of the spring plate 20. A pair of protruded pieces 20b are provided at both ends of semicircular curved parts 20a provided at the central part of the spring plate 20. Pushing up pieces 20d, which push up a guide plate 6, are formed at both ends. The curved parts 20a and the protruded pieces 20b are coupled into semicircular concave parts 19a and groove holes 19b in the chassis 19. This is the desired constitution.
