PURPOSE:To project always the picture of each row in the correct state onto a projection face, by providing a means which drives an image rotating means so that the direction of the picture is changed in accordance with a row selected by a row selecting means. CONSTITUTION:A prism 27 is held by a holder 28 provided freely rotatably on a barrel 23' of a lens 23, and a gear 29 is provided on the circumferential face of the holder 28, and the gear 29 bites a gear 31 provided on the rotation shaft of a motor 30. The motor 30 is rotated normally and reversely, and the holder 28 is rotated by driving of the motor 30 to rotate the prism 27 which is made into one body together with the holder 28. The picture projected onto a screen 26 is rotated by the rotation of the prism 27, and consequently, a correct image is always seen on the screen 26.
