PROJECTOR COMMON FOR DISSIMILAR MICROFILMS

PURPOSE:To perform projecting and printing of desired frames without making any cumbersome operation by moving an index frame to the projecting position irrespective if kinds of films at the turning on of an electric power source. CONSTITUTION:When a microfilm is inserted into a film carrier, changeover switches SAB-1-SAB-5 are changed over according to the kinds A, B etc. of the inserted microfilm. When an electric power source is turned ON, a safety switch S1a goes ON, and depending upon whether the projection magnification corresponds to either of the film kinds A, B, the assignment signal from an index frame assignment signal circuit 55 or 56 is applied to respective latches 44, 48, then X-, Y, direction drive motors 31, 34 are controlled by way of a D/A converter 45 or 49, whereby the index frame which becomes a reference for the film is automatically set in the projection position. The same holds true of the case when the magnification is changed over by a projection magnification changeover switch Sdu is changed over, thus the projecting and printing of desired frames of dissimilar films may be performed without making cumbersome operations of plural switches.
