A ball games racket, especially tennis or squash racket has a frame made of plastic, which is designed in two parts in the plane (central plane M) of the stringing provided on the head and the two halves of which have a groove-like cross-sectional profile which is open towards the central plane (M) and has a concave wall, the two longitudinal sides of which, which delimit the open side of the cross-sectional profile, lie adjacent to the central plane (M). The halves are interconnected by means of connecting pins formed on the respective wall and by means of sleeve-like sections which receive these. The connecting pins and the sleeve-like sections pass in this connection directly in the region of the longitudinal sides into the wall or, as an alternative to this, the frame halves have, at least at some connecting pins and/or sleeve-like sections provided on the head, a distance from one another, and the strings forming the stringing are guided around these connecting pins or sleeve-like sections.
