The conical store configuration permits the use of all the information area available, with the cone rotating at a constant speed. The constant flow conditions on the outside and inside surface of the cone allow a higher level of reliability to be achieved in reading and programming. The cone design allows for a more stable configuration, which permits less costly machining.
