The invention relates to the use of 1-(2-methoxyaminosulphonylphenylsulphonyl)-3-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine- 2-yl)urea of the formula IMAGE for the selective control of broad-leaved weeds and grass weeds in rice crops, particularly advantageously after emergence, or after transplanting, of the rice plants.
