In a method for increasing mental receptiveness when teaching pupils by means of combined rhythmopaedic and suggestopaedic teaching methods, a presentation phase comprises at least a stage with four steps, with a background presentation of romantic and/or baroque music as well as of pulse-like sound and optical signals of an initially high frequency of approximately 80 to 65 min-1 and an intensity of (50 +/- 5) dB(A) down to a frequency of 55 to 40 min-1 and an intensity of at least 13 dB(A).
