The ski binding has a longitudinal slide-rail (6) and housing (3) fixed to a foot-plate (5). The underside of the foot-plate (5) engages with the slide-rail (6) and is dihedral. The two surfaces (5a,5b) form an obtuse angle of around 180 deg. open at the top. Their edge (5c) forms a transverse pivot axle for the foot plate (5) and housing (3) in relation to the slide rail (6). A tooth (8) or teeth on the foot plate (5) fit into one or more notches (7) on the slide rail (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - The ski binding is more easily assembled and adjusted as to its lengthwise position.
